Help I'm having trouble understanding the manual on how to get more (louder)
bass. It seems like the sub is just barely playing although the volume is set to max.
Any ideas would be appreciated

I do not think you ever want your sub turned up all the way. Make sure all the dials on the back of the sub are disabled or set as high as they go if you can not disable. Except the gain (volume). Set it at 11 o'clock. Check all connections.

The manual is in general terrible. I suggest you read this Audyssey FAQ then run auto setup.

All speakers and sub levels should be in the ball park after this. After auto setup most systems would benefit by then manually setting all speakers to small and all crossovers to 80Hz even though auto setup will have it set differently.

That's my recommendation of where to start. Let us know how you make out.

Try this:

Go to system setup, then speaker setup. Set all apeakers to small, and the crossover to 80Hz. Then set the SW volume to 12dB. Now you should have a full signal to your subwoofer.

It would seem to me that if it is barely playing, you may have a setup problem?
You may need a friend who understand it better to help you out?
