That car is absolutely beautiful. The fact that it goes 253 MPH can't hurt either. I have heard from sevral sources that the unconventional design of the 7 speed gearbox has produced sevral reliability issues, in particular the gear teeth of the seventh speed failing prematurely.
The car operates at the full horsepower at all times. The key is simply to allow you to shift into the final drive gear, and to disable the rear wing and underbody aerodynamic ports to reduce drag. If you read thoroughly it is designed so that it is nearly impossoble to use that function on the road because at speeds over 35 if you perform a 90 degree turn it reverts to handeling mode. Which is the reason that they are offering all of the purchasers to bring their vehicles to their test track to test maximum speed.
Did you read the gas mileage specs on that thing 7mpg city 10mpg highway 3mpg at 253 mph. With mileage like that you could pass anything on the road except a gas station. And I thought I had it bad with my 77' olds 98 (the fastest one ever built) pushing 893rwhp 8mpg city(on a windy day downhill) 12mpg highway (If I keep my foot out of it). Muscle cars and old school V8's are where the cheap speed is at. It also pay$ to be a highly skilled certified automotive technician.
Going over 200 mph is the most addictive feeling in the world. It makes drugs seem boring, even skydiving can't touch it with a 10 foot pole. My extensive collection of speeding tickets and warnings testifies to that fact.
