Sheep,

Definitely similar - so close that one could sue the other if they weren't mfg'd by the same co. The towers truely resemble some of the older model B&K's as well as the Swans and Rockets. Nice comparo!

As I've said before, the site below has many items you'll see with big names stamped on them. So sad to see most of this stuff coming from China. I was in a large sporting goods store last night. They had just unloaded a truckload of goods - from golf bags, clubs, workout equipment, clothing, shoes, bikes - you name it. Every one of the boxes said "made in China."

Do any of these generic sub drivers look familiar?

I didn't see any similarities between the China woofers and the ones I see on other subs from a manufacture. As long as the drivers perform well, whats the big deal?

Sony, MA Audio, Pioneer, Alpine, SPL, etc... I'm surprised you didn't recognize any. Many are car audio subs. Many of the drivers do perform well.

The big deal is the deal you made comparing Monster speakers to Crystal. You may get one set for a bargain, and another at insane pricing. Zumbo made this point with cars.

Ohh, I though you were referring to China making speakers as a big deal.

Gotcha :)

Why didn't Monster choose to rebrand Bose cubes or the Bose 901's? I mean after all the business philosophies of these 2 companies are amazingly similar. I mean if this speaker level corporate merger goes through, they can surely canabilize, oops, I meant to say capitalize, on each other's market share.

Or are the Bose cubes really that bad that even Monster wont touch them?

Or is it really that Bose is really afraid that Monster is somehow going to sue Bose for every penny it's got for copyright infringement for allowing the word "monster" appear in Monster's internal corporate memos?
