Better flick than I expected, but the real thing was the awsome LFE!! There's a ton of it here. Bassheads will want to check it out.

Aside from lfe, how was the rest of the soundtrack? And, of course, what did you think of the movie itself?

Good story, excellent animation. The characters look intentionally cartoonish, yet have excellent facial expressions and movement due to the use of motion capture. The personalities of the voice actors really came through, which made it very enjoyable. Soundwise it was well done, though I felt the use of surround was about average - good but not reference. The LFE is distributed through the whole movie too, not just specific instances.

Yes the low end was pretty strong at some points, it will give your subs a workout thats for sure. I just wish it would have been in 3D like it was filmed.

Great Movie!!

Our whole family sat down to watch this flick in our home theatre.
We all thought it was better than some people have been saying.
I thought it was a great movie. Some of those eary sounds coming from the back 3 speakers were kind of cool.
There are some parts that are a little scary for youngsters though.

Ciao.

I just finished this one.

Wow, what a great audio track. This movie went under all the audiophiles radar. Great LFE, and just an overall good sounding track.

I downloaded it, so I can't speak for surround usage. Might have to pick this one up. Stupid car taking my movie money.

And yes, this was rather scary for a kids movie...
