Monsoon flash flooding experiences

I've been watching some of the flooding vids in Moab, Dallas, Death Valley, Las Vegas, etc.

Anyone personally "experience" any of this batch? Any damage?

Not quite the same thing as the US' southwest typical monsoons particularly this time of year.....but I assume same issues with recent fire areas and lack of absorption are similar?
