Monolith 300w sub problem

Hi all , lately i have some problems with my sub. Sometimes it starts humming and sometimes when i hear no humming the sub starts to make those really hard explosion noise. Also when playing a movie and i touch the rca cable the explosion noise returns... Sometimes i can play days without a problem. I have contacted the manufacturer but they think it is not a sub problem. i must say with my older yamaha amp i did not had the problem. Hope someone can help me. thx all.​

As you mention touching the cable has effect I would first try with another cable and see if the issue is still there.

Try hooking the sub up to something else and see if that happens. Hook it up directly to an ipod or an MP3 players or CD player or something like that. Play some stuff and see if the problem still occurs. It sounds to me like it is the sub, but you have to rule out the source which is feeding the signal to the sub.
