Just curious, but I've been on this site now for about a week now (and it is an awesome resource I might add!), but I haven't seen any mention of Martin Logan speakers. I was at Sound Advice here in Tampa and they sounded pretty sweet. Any opinions out there on this ESL technology?

ML's

I'm an electrostatic owner (currently not ML's). IMHO you can't go wrong with any ML product. The curved panels do give more lateral dispersion than the Innersound's. Panels get rid of that boxy sound. They may not play as loud as some dynamic speakers but the ladies seem to like them. They generally have more sensitive hearing than guys. So they hear the bad before we do.

Do you have a separate amp to drive your Innersounds? I'm trying to decide whether the Yamaha 1400 (110Wx7 @ 8ohms) will have enough to drive these guys (ML Aeons 200W@ 4 ohms).

I have ML speakers but not electrostatic. I have the Montages as mains and a Fresco as center. I couldn't afford better and got a great deal on them. I thought the Montages sounded great and when the Fresco center was added, it really helped. I recently viewed Amadeus on this system (with a NAD T763 receiver) and it really sounded sweet.

?Seperate amp

Do you use a seperate amp to drive the fronts and/or center, or does your receiver/preamp do the job alone? If the latter, which receiver do you have?
Thanks,

Conaan9, presuming your question was addressed to me, I just use a receiver. The point of the ML hybrids is to have higher standard speaker (over the box speakers but under the electrostatic) that you don't need expensive equipment to power. I believe the hybrid line (Montage, Mosaic and Clarity) were designed with a Denon 3803 type receiver in mind for powerage. I also really like the Fresco as a center and, with more money, would really consider a set up with all Frescos and the Grotto as the subwoofer. Frescos are about $950 a piece and so would not be cheap. I wouldn't even have the Montages nor Fresco but I got a special deal which makes them even a better purchase for the price point. I didn't have the money nor the inclination to spend the money for separates or power amps.

Sorry Jorge. I don't own Innersounds although I like them a lot. My full rig is listed in one of the other forums (member systems - how much is your system worth). I have 2 pair of Acoustats. I use tube amplifiers to drive them. I have never owned a receiver.
