ML Electrostatics for rear channel???

I have a couple questions on using electrostatics for rear surrounds.

My Denon X4000 says to use with speakers rated 6-16 Ohms
Some of the MLs are rated for 4, but state they're compatible with 4,6 and 8 ohm amps.
Which guideline is accurate?
This is where that NAD AVR would have the bases covered

I'm strongly considering second handed units, thoughts?

I should add, that I will for the next year, probably be running 4.1 to build off of once this project is finalized.
Not so sure on the next step, whether 4.2 or 6.1, or 5.1
but my guess is, a centre channel will be a last and final piece if I ever do one.

If this thread needs to be moved to loudspeakers or amps, then that is fine.

Where most al ML hybrid panels dip low very high in the response curve, so they are not very amp taxing.

So you think the 6 ohm Denon should be ok?
I'm not for certain I'll be getting a pair for this, but am watching a couple.

Why are there so many ML speakers on ebay?
That does not speak well of the company…
perhaps folks are just buying in at entry level electrostatics
and realize it just isn't enough for mains.

the 4000 will have no problems.
look for the smaller units as they have mounting hardware available. ie the scripts

I've listened to these speaker before and what came to my mind is that I was listening to 2 cans of Friskies Buffet (Cat food) cans. What draws you to these speakers, they sound horrible to me.

Walter, c'mon. Everyone is different. Whatever sounds best to the individual is good. ;)

There are 3 members of my household that would not appreciate your aspersion. :)
There was no insult intended. I do have to apologize for that post. It was the Guinness Extra Stout that's to blame. Sometimes I just make an a$$ out of myself and the next day I do regret some of them dumb post I make when I had a few too many. I do hope you accept my apology.
