Whoa! $4500 for 3. That is too much for me. I could not convince my wife on that one. I will have to find an alternative.

What are you trying to do with them? I mean, what room are they going into?
MK has the 950 which is $650 MSRP each and THX Select.

Jamo has a D500 THX Select on-wall model that look killer under the TV and they MSRP at $350. They also have an on wall THX Ultra D600 which is $500 each.

Jamo D600: http://www.jamo.com/na-en/products/d-600-lcr-description/
Jamo D500: http://www.jamo.com/na-en/products/d-500-lcr-description/
MK 950: http://www.mksoundusa.com/home-products/950-series/lcr-950/

I've used the Jamo on several projects and they're wonderful. The MK, I'm sure is also an excellent piece.

Hope these lead you somewhere!

Yep, it's called "lying." ;) :D
"Always seek forgiveness... never permission." Words to live by. Got my dad divorced from my mother...... TWICE :D

Now, I on the other hand dated my wife for 6 years before marrying her. She knows what's up. I bought a 68' Firebird two weeks ago on ebay and told her I was going to go to CT to pick it up after I had already sent the guy a check. She figures the more she says no, the more I'm going to buy. Gotta have some fun, right?!

It will be interesting how these compare to the original S150's. Some big shoes to fill.

My undrstanding is that they are no different as the new partners own the old designs. This is a carryover from the old M&K as I covered in the other thread we were in. The box is the exact same size, same weight, same drivers, etc. I was told from their factory that it is the same speaker.

Here's a Stereophile review from 1997: http://www.stereophile.com/standloudspeakers/137/index.html

One thing that has changed is the pricing.... Now, in 2011 the speakers are x2 the cost.

Wow. I can't get over paying TWICE the price for essentially the same speaker!

I mean it's understandable for some price increases due to inflation and stuff. But as everyone else (B&W, KEF, Revel, etc.) doubled their prices too?

Good luck to you, as we all need it.:D

InTheIndustry was telling me how impressed he was with the new 3D Epson PJ.

Perhaps he could tell us more about it.:D
