My TV is only 4 years old and the screen is blurry and looks like there is a double image. Does anyone have a clue what the problem could be? At first it took a little while to warm up and it would look normal, now it's been on for 3 hours and still has the double image, it's making me dizzy! Thanks Terri

If it is 4 years old it could be the lamp needs replaced.

As stated, the lamp may be at its end. Can you check the Tv menu to find out the hours on the lamp?

Given that your tv is 4 years old, I am assuming it is a CRT rear projection tv. What is the model # ? Sounds to me like you have a convergence problem. When you press the "menu" button on your remote do you get a clear picture, or is also blurry? Is the set making any unusual noises (clicking, popping, etc?). Has the tv been moved recently or been dropped/hit with unusual force? I would be surprised if you had a problem with the "guns" as CRT technology has been around for quite awhile and is pretty bulletproof. In the menu screen (that is if you can see it ) there is an option to reset the factory convergence; you may try that. If that doesn't correct the problem you may have to call a technician to look at your set, especially if you are not comfortable opening the cabinet and poking around yourself. I would not recommend doing this if you do not know what you are doing.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I have a friend with a RPTV who had a problem with his tv needing to "warm up". Turned out he had somehow damaged the input on the rear of the tv. I forgot to ask you if all sources have the problem (i.e. DVD, gaming, HDTV, etc.)
