In the process of building a home theater. Narrowed the projectors down to two. InFocus Screenplay 5700 vs Mitsubishi HC900U. Just wondering if anyone out there has either of these or knows the pros of cons of each. Have seen the Screenplay but not the Mitsubishi. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Of those two, I would go with the InFocus, which has been refining its home theater DLP projectors for a little while now and definitely is getting things right.

It doesn't look like either projector offers lens shift, so no matter which one you get, make plans to mount it exactly where it needs to go so you don't use keystone correction.

Also, if you don't know if you suffer from DLP rainbows, make sure to buy from a place with a fair return policy.

Finally: Make sure to read through the reviews at www.projectorcentral.com and take a look at their 'most popular' projectors. You may change your mind to something altogether different

Hi depending on your budget the new MT-700 Toshiba 1280x720 DLP streeting at $2600 or the new BenQ PE7700 would be a better choice
Also look at the Studio Experience 30HD for Matterhorn based DLP
I think its a step above both the 5700 and HC 900
We are working on updating the $12k system necause the 5700 has become
a little old, still good but better can now be had for the same price.
