Hi, I wonder if anybody could help with a problem I've got on a mission SUB, I've had it just under a year and recently left it off for a couple of weeks. When switching on for the first time again the sound was very muted. I switched off and later on again and everything was fine. One day later, I switch on again, get the muted sound again, switch off and it wont go on again. Not hot, hasent even been on again and now the SUB is totally dead. Tried power supply's all ok, just no power in the SUB, all LED's off.

Sounds like the amp is dead. You may check to see if there is a fuse that has blown.

Help on the Mission SUB

Hi, Thanks for the comment, I also thought it may be a fuse, however there is no visable place, pannel or fuse socket that I can see for fuse replacement. Only the main pannel on the back with about 12 screws to remove and a note that says "no user servicable parts inside". I am reluctant to open it firstly because I dont know what I am doing when it comes to electronic circuts and secondly there is still a garuantee on it. Problem with that is its 700km away and accross a difficult international border. Does anyone know if there any site that depicts the circutry of Mission subs and where a fuse may be located?

Problem sorted

Hi Again, In the end it was a fuse, got hold of the agents, found out where the fuse cover was (cleverly hidden) and changed it, back in business! Have a good weekend and thanks again!:)

Hi I think I have the same problem and have no power to my sub. :-(

Can you tell me where the hidden fuse is located?

Many thanks

My Mission Es82 Subwoofer actually caught on fire and burnt the entire amp out! The agents and manufacturer had no replacement parts available and refused to supply. I had a series of unpleasant emails with them and their solution was to buy two new units!

In any event the fuse replacement is on the inside of the plug socket, part of the unit pulls out which also houses the fuse.

Hy there, registered just to comment on this issue

My Mission E8AS2 also caught on fire! But that was after second service attempt
First and second service "only" caused sub-woofer to mute
Very dangerous device apparently

So far I'm left without service attempts since there is no Mission support in Croatia/Europe
Didn't try contacting Mission in UK, but since Sangoma mentioned awful support
it's obviously a waste of time
