Judging by the quality of the woofer, I would highly doubt there is anything worth saving.

What is your budget to build a set of speakers?

I would spend a couple hundred, I have loads of wood, talent and time for that part, just the knowledge of how a speaker works is where I stumble. I honestly don't know what the appropriate budget would be. They would not be for anything more than casual listening, background music most of the time. I am past the age of house parties, but still appreciate quality.

All the "brand" need do is make use of a little bit of sense/recognition....

And sometimes, it causes some recognition because of something a potential buyer heard in the distant past, like "Good speakers come from Denmark" which, I suspect, is the reason they used that name. They really did look like something from that country, but OMG- the sound! It was terrible.

I have a pair of Klipsch R-51M, JBL Stage A130, and a couple Klipsch center channel. I live in Janesville WI. It could be a worth while trip. These speakers were not for my ears. I also have a psb Imagine XC for a song and a dance too.
