They sure are attractive

Quick question for you... I noticed that the speakers were specked at 55hz to 20 KHz but that the resonant frequency is 47 Hz. Wouldn't the SPL reach its max at resonant frequency and thus be included in the specs for the frequency response in a +/- 3db window?

Good review.

When will the S-10 Review be complete?

Nicely done! I gave the Omnisat v2 series a long listen when shopping for our HT . . . their soundstaging is indeed worth a listen if you like hearing sound "wrap around you". I particularly agree with the commentary on the diminish on the high end; the towers sounded to me "reserved neutral", which I like. That is, the highs were clean and distinct, but not sharp and taxing . . . to me very like the "British sound". Eq'ing them flat would drive me out of the room!

Regrettably, the sats didn't captivate me as well in the surround department, at least not in the listening room I heard them in. Perhaps paired with a more substantial sub as in this review (I heard them with the S10, which while a very nice-sounding music sub, lacks the "kick" of say a Hsu or a higher-end Velo) . . . As I'm having to pump sound into a 6000+ cu ft room, I chickened out on the v2 system and went with Monitor Audio RS. But in terms of sound quality, they're an interesting alternative to "standard" direct radiators, especially if you (or other invested parties) don't want big cabinets demanding attention in the room.

I'd love to see a follow-up review of a full v2 5.1 system . . .;)

I don't understand how the resonant frequency doesn't make it into the +/- 3db window of a speakers freqeuncy response?

The 55 Hz to 20 kHz spec are the manufacturer's numbers for the v2 FS, which differed from the actual measurements done for the review.
