Hi,
I just purchased a Philips 47PFL7432D four days ago, and have been extremely impressed with it so far. My only concern seems to be a small amount of backlight bleed in the lower right hand portion of the screen. It's really only visible in dark scenes with the lights out (ambilight on, of course). To be honest, my wife didn't notice it at all.
I understand that backlight bleed seems to be a common occurrence in virtually all lcd screens. My question is, would this amount be a cause for concern, or am I just being nitpicky? The attached image is a fairly close representation of what I actually see on a dark image. The second picture is with my camera in "night mode", and shows it a little more clearly. I'm still within my 30 day return period, and would certainly be willing to exchange it if there's a reasonable chance that a different unit would be substantially better (in regards to the backlight issue). On the other hand, I can live with it if this seems to be within the normal limits for current lcd technology. It does seem to be getting less severe as the days go on (I'm not sure if that's really even possible, or if I'm just getting used to it).
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
