middle atlantic questions

has anyone used middle atlantic's rack tools program to lay out their rack? is it worth the time? if not, how do you guys plan for what goes where and heat management issuses thanks for the help.

Yes, the Rack Tools design plug in for Visio is fantastic. It produces very professional results and is drag and drop easy. It is especially useful as you can get parts lists right off of it and you can get a general idea of how much things might cost. Plus, you aren't guessing at rack space sizing for a particular component.

DVD player, 2 spaces, VCR (old) 3 spaces, PS2, 2 spaces. Add some blanks (4) then the rack is filled. Now drop in a measurement and know where stuff should go to be of a convenient height.

I have a 43 space full size rack and have it filled along with a 12 space smaller rack that's filled.... I need more racks.

You might need more racks, but this is the ONLY kind of rack I need :D
