Ok I'm a bit long winded but hang in there...my current Ht system is dynaudio audience 52 for L,R and a 122C(center) with mirage omnisat micro's for the rear channels, driven by a Yamaha RX-V1500. Ok the question. My wife hates how large the cc is and I was considering the standard size omnisat...What is the forums feeling on having the taboo mixed front spearkers? will the yamaha's acustic optimizer help or is this just a bad Idea..your thoughts are appreciated.

The WAF...

While the ideal is to have "matched" L/C/R speaker, for some, like yourself it might not be possible. That being the case, you need to look for speakers that have close or matching specs (ie. SPL, Frequency Response, Ohm, Fs, and others) the closer the Center Ch. specs are to the L/R speakers the better. Good Luck! :D
