Picked up a pair of Merlin TSM-MXs and have been listening to them since wednesday morning. Remarkable bookshelf speakers. Not heavy on the bass, but the bass is defined and completely controlled. Imaging is superb and midrange is silky smooth. I'm extremely impressed with these boxes and unequivocally recommend them to anyone looking for world class monitors. They aren't cheap, however, not outrageously priced either. They benefit from a sub in a larger space, but that's the only downside I can think of.
