Menu Items Have Become 'Unselectable' in DVD3930CI Setup Menu

I've done the initial setup on my 3930, and entered the setup menu later in the day to find many selections "unselectable". I did initially go back and forth between choosing HDMI and component as my output, but don't see how that could cause this issue. HDMI/Comp output should have nothing to do with 'language setup'. Three of 4 of the items in the first submenu, "Language Setup" are all inactive. Anyone have any idea why these menu items are suddenly unselectable? Thanks.

Some functions are not available unless the current disc is completely stopped. In addition, some selections will disable your ability to configure other things... This is typically an issue when selecting HDMI or enabling/disabling DenonLink for example.

I believe the disc is completely stopped, as the setup menu itself won't display unless the disc is stopped. And I have HDMI setting turned off (this can be done from the front panel of the 3930). But I do have DenonLink enabled. You believe that would affect settings that seem to have no connection to DenonLink, i.e., the language settings on the first tab? The 3930 user manual mentions nothing about setup items being disabled as a result of enabling DenonLink, for example.

Clint, DenonLink was exactly the cause. From my Denon AVR3805, I disassociated the DVD input from DenonLink (chose 'none'), which enabled the 'DenonLink" option under tab 2 (Digital Interface settings) in my DVD3930 setup menu. I then changed DenonLink from "3rd" to "off", and then, viola! All options in all tabs are available. Very strange that DenonLink settings (in my AVR menu) affect the options under "Language Setup" (in my DVD player menu). ???? In any case, I'm glad to solve that mystery. Thanks for your input!
