Hey Mike, get in touch with highfihoney. I know he hasn't been around lately, but he is big in to that gear and bought his stuff used over time to get where he's at for "cheap" (very relative wording:)) I'm sure he would give you some good advice. Him or Mulester.

Mc makes their equipment large, powerful, very expensive, and (except for tubes) very rugged.

I have a 1978 120wpc amp from McIntosh. It still sells on eBay $350-$450. And it still runs great.

I'm always scowering thrifts shops and the like, because it's great gear I definately want more of... but more than it's worth to me at market prices.
