greetings, I just found what I think is a smoking deal on a McIntosh mc 252 and I am curious if anyone would know what it would sound like with my studio 100 v.5's. Anyone?

That's enough power to drive most speakers into oblivion. The amplifier definitely won't be the weak part of your system for SQ, guarranteed.:D

Thats the nice thing about Mac, it will deliver the specified power everytime continuous through the full spectrum with the stated distortion and with some nice headroom into loades 2-8ohm :)

Why waste your money on some fancy "audiofool" amp when you could just get the behringer EP2500, its got even more power and way cheaper. It will be better than anything else you can get for even twice the money. You'll have to change out the fan for a quieter one but after doing that one small change you can drive any speaker with loads of power for very reasonably priced...

... not.

Oh ha ha.

I honestly believe if it is a smokin deal, why pass on it? McIntosh gear holds it's value very well.

Oh... Yes. We'll I was being sarcastic. I figured I would save the usual suspects from having to chime in saying the same thing, only without the sarcasm ;)
