Got an offer from the job I applied for, and they gave me what I asked for, so I will most likely be taking it. It is actually closer to my house and more along the lines of what I would like to do going forward. It is just tough having to let the current company know that I am leaving :( I've been here 3 years and I really like my boss and group, its just that the company has some issues of late and I am looking to do something a little different anyway. The new job will be a bit different, so I won't have as much "forum" time LOL.

Congrats. I've been there - you change jobs and all of a sudden you have to do work at work. The nerve!;)

Hey j,
There are some good 12 step programs if you need it. (I think Gene is legally obligated to furnish help line phone numbers.):D

Good luck in what ever you decide,

You guys just need to get better at multi-tasking. I tend to work from home most of the time and periodically check the forums throughout the day - especially if my machine will be busy for a few minutes building my code.

I kind of assumed j_garcia was the same because he seems to be omnipresent on the forums.

Do try to check in from time to time though, I for one have learned a thing or two from you.

congrats J,

Remember if you like what you're doing, you'll never work another day in your life. Just remember us bums!;) :D

LOL!! I am omni-present because I too have "opportunities" while things are loading/rebuilding on my CAD station (transitioning files back and forth between SJ to Korea can take some time), to pop over to the forums for a few and snap a couple of posts off.

Congratulations!!!

I know its hard to say bye to your current job if everybody are nice to you especially the boss. Ive been there and its really tough to think of what approach you can make to tell them that you are leaving for another company.

Good Luck.
