MAX: Nice setup!

A question on your vid display: It appears as if you have one display mounted over another  and I'm trying to figure it out   .

I only have my center channel mounted above the TV. There is only 1 video display.

I see your point George,

It looks like a plasma screen over a rear projection or something? I think it may just be the way the TV is built, looks funny though.

Other than that nice setup.

Nice... I just purchased the Sony KDF60XS955 w/SU-GW12 myself and absolutely love it! I noticed that you removed the center shelf on the stand. Does it still feel stable??? I have a component that won't fit and thought about doing the same thing. Since the metal frame under the middle shelf was pretty heavy duty, I figured it had a purpose and shouldn't be removed.

It feels more than sturdy! I coundn't fit the receiver if I left the shelf in so I had no other choice.

Is that lower shelf glass? If so, is there a center support? If not, I'd add one, that glass is under some serious bending stress. You have some serious voltage protection, did you check out Furman? I just sold an AR1215 that specs similar to the AVS2000 as far as voltage stabilization is concerned, add to that one of the less expensive filter systems.

Nice tight system overall though

The Shelf is glass and has a 1.5 inch thick metal brace under it, I also reinforced the center of it. It's funny because in the picture it looks like it is bending but in real life it doesn't.

I picked up the voltage stabilizer from a buddy that works at future shop so I got it at cost, He is going to get me the HTPS7000 at cost as soon as they get more instock. He handles my Monster product requests because there is no way I am giving a company like monster it's insane amount of profit. There cost is less than half of the retail price, "retarded" if you ask me...

Thank you for the feedback, and anyone else with some suggestions please feel free to jump in.

Moli, Your Home system sounds like a dream come true on paper but I couldn't make out much from the pics... I am sure you enjoy your setup, and next year when I purchase a larger home I plan on going with the Cinema seats as well....

Since I'm of the "speakers are everything" persuasion in audio, big thumbs up. Admittedly, I've never heard DefTechs in person but judging from their rep alone I'd say good choice. At the risk of sounding like an old fart: "you're off to a good start, young man".

Thanks RIP, The Def Techs are amazing "I Think Unmatched" for HT but I have heard speakers that perform better for 2 channel music... That being said I love them for the sheer amount of bass energy they fill the room with and the way they disappear in the dark thanks to their Bi-Polar guts.
