Looking at Xantech's hd44c 4x4 matrix component switch with the rapidrun component +spdif connectors. However, I cannot see any hdtv's with spdif inputs. any thoughts
Paul

I have seen the orange port is the correct one, yet looking at most of the specs on the hdtv units, no digital port, just the two analog l/r inputs.

depends on the manufacture, most tvs will output. Why would you want digital audio going t0 your tv an not your avr?

couple of reasons. 1. using the yamaha sound bar, its audio is fed from the tv and then the remaining rooms are fed signal using rapidrun cabling and the what I hoped was the component/spdif terminals. Looks like I am going to have use the component/audio terminals. Certainly if I am flawed in that thinking, be kind and let me know.
thanks

The sound bar has a coaxial input, use it, why are you tying to go thru the tv with the audio at all, it isnt required.

video source>switcher>video input on tv

video sources audio>switcher>soundbar

that's true, thus the benefits of this great forum. Always something to learn. Thanks
