Matching Speakers for 7.1

I wanted to add two more speakers to my 5.1 system. I have Axiom M22ti's for mains, vp100 center, Qs8's surrounds, HSU stf-2 sub. I like to listen to stereo in all channels as well but this is mostly for HT. Specifically I was looking at the Axiom M3ti's or M2tis's, but was wondering what the best way to match the rears with the rest of the system even if they aren't by the same company? Thanks.

Your best bet would most likely be another set of M22ti's if you are going to be listening in 7 channel stereo. Otherwise, I believe that the M2ti's have the same drivers as the M22ti's, so they would voice-match very well.

By the way, I only have about 18" form the couch to the back wall, would this be too close for the speakers to the listening position? Thanks alot for the replies!

you don't really need to match the rears quite so perfectly as you do the center to the mains. the rears are generally pretty far away from the rest of the speakers, so you normally can't hear any delays due to timbre mismatch. it's not like at the front, where the speakers are so close and the motion so direct that you notice almost any difference.
