I'd like to know what you have matched up,receiver to speakers.
I have a Denon 2805 matched to B&W 603's front,601's rear,CC6 center and a SVS 20-39 sub..

PS- Seriously, why does everyone fret over receiver speaker combinations?

No problem.

I'm just sick of hearing people give out bad adivce to others (not you) and say they shouldn't buy those speakers because they will sound bad with this amp blah balh bleh VOODOO.

Not you though, I though thats what you were hinting at.

For me,

Yamaha RXV440(want a 1500, or 1600), Energy C-1's.

It's in the sig: Yamaha RX-V750 and the Athena Audition line -- AS-F2 fronts, AS-C1 centres (front and rear), AS-B2 surrounds, and AS-P400 subwoofer. Sounds groovy to me, whether these are theoretically good match-ups.

cheers,

New speakers on order...

So, the new system will consist of:

Polk Audio RTi4's up front, CSi3 for center, Sony SS-MS525's as surrounds, and Sony SA-WMS525 as the sub. Receiver is a Sony STR-DE675.

Such an unusual combo. What helped you decide?

P.S. See signature for match up.

I should have clarified. The Sony's are all part of an existing 5.1 Satellite System I have had for the last 8 years or so. I only upgraded the front sound stage for now since the Sony's sound pretty good for surround. We'll see if this changes once the new speakers come. :)

Sorry about the confusion on that. It is a very odd combo. The sub will be upgraded later this year with probably an SVS 20-39 PCi or PB10-ISB.
