The potential for great sound is there, but, caveat emptor.
Electrostatic speakers are extremely sensitive to placement. If you cannot have them 3ft. from the front wall and 4-5ft. from side walls, forget about it. They are a very difficult electrical load, so you need a dedicated amp for them. Last but not the least, if they are the old, untouched panels, they're ready for a service (replace panels, adjust bias, inspect crossover).
