Martin Logan MLT-2?

Hello Experts:
About to pick up a MLT-2 (5.1 speaker system) from New Egg for 279$ (MSRP 1199). Amazon has raving reviews about this system and I wanted to get your expert opinion if this is the right choice. Willing to spend up to $500

My Home theater room is a 25x15 (Rectangular) - (In the basement)
I looked at Boston Acoustics and Polk entry level systems (<500$) but didnt find quite good reviews

I cannot comment on the sound quality of the ML speakers, I know the sub will not do justice to the bass in movies. In the $500 range, the Pioneer Andrew Jones BS-22 bookshelf and CS-22 center speakers (Tiger Direct has the best price for these and Best Buy will do an in-store price match) will definitely sound great with a Bic America F12 sub which is on Amazon for $200.

If you are can stretch the budget by $100, get the tower speakers in the series. So, the FS-52 for LR, CS-22 for C and BS-22 for surrounds with the F12 sub.

You're budget is 500 for speakers? Do you have a receiver?

For 500 I would pretty much go with what was suggested above :
FS52 floors taking speakers (200/pr)
CS22 center (100)
And the F12 sub (200)

Then when you get the extra money (120) pick up the bookshelves as surrounds!
