Marantz Tower Speakers

A co-worker of mine is trying to sell some older model Marantz tower speakers (SP103i). He swears they are outstanding, but he doesn't have the room for them anymore (read: his wife thinks they're ugly). He's selling them for $100 for the pair. Is that a fair price? Anyone have experience with them?

They are on the level of Sony, Kenwood, and Pioneer speakers that came with those all in one component systems. Not even close to worth $100. Those speakers are good for garage duty, I wouldn't pay over $30 for them. Which also means I agree with one of the posters on AA.
