Marantz SR8002 problem????

I just bought a brand new Marantz SR8002 and a Marantz Blu Ray 7004. When I set my front speakers in LARGE the sub does not work. It does not work with DTS or Dolby, even if I try the BOTH or MIX options.
If I set the speakers in SMALL the whole thing sounds perfect. Is this a problem? I have tried several configs, trying to work with the crossover frequencies.
Manual says that it shoudl work on BOTH, front and sub together but it doesn´t.

Setting my large speakers in small does not sound right, but they sound ok in 60 HZ

That does not sound right for sure. Try resetting the receiver to its initial settings first and if that does not fix it then you should contact Marantz.
