Marantz SR7001 1080P video problem

How in the world do I get this thing to pass 1080p video??

I am using 1.3 hdmi cables from a bd player, to the sr7001, so I dont think thats the problem. And also to the tv...

Is it the fact that the SR7001 only outputs hdmi 1.2??

Have you updated the firmware? There were some video issues with the 01 series.

I have not, ever. I check Marantz.com for them but only see dl for the manual, spec sheet, etc.

Call Marantz, think the 01 series needs to be done by service center

-open the front panal of the 7002
-Hold down the pure direct button,the 7.1 input button and the M-DIX button at the same time(for 2-4 seconds)
-then press the enter button on the front panel,it will give you numbers
-press again 2 to 3 more times and it will show you your version

I am using 1.3 Hdmi cables also and it works perfect in combination with my Marantz BD5004. I have the BD5004 since a few weeks now and it is a great combination. Before I have used a Marantz DV6001 which also works great but isn't Blu-Ray of-course.

I didn't need to upgrade any firmware to make it work.

Where did you connect your HDMI cables into?
Did you know the BD5004 is able to upgrade normal DVD to 1080p which is a great option.

In case of a Blu-Ray disc it is even possible to play 1080p24.
Or with a CD it is possible to play in pure Direct-Mode.
That's all real quality people!
