I got a deal for Marantz SR6200. Anybody has any review on this? Thanks. I need to know whether this is better than my HK AVR235. I appreciate any info.;)

Yeah I know its there. So whats your point ? I used a different route. Are you saying I was rude with my post ?

What I was getting at with my message is it's easy to do searches. But it seems like alot of people dont.

No worries. But the bookmark I offered at least shows him the AR site unlike the link here. ;) :D

Actually, the first review and overall average looks identical to the Audioholics reviews. I wonder if they share a common database?

They share the same database. But I felt the link I gave had more options in case he wanted to explore the AR site. The link here keeps you at AH.

Thank you. Btw, I did read that review but only two reviews from people i'm not familiar with, I'd chose not to believe it blindly. I read the reviews before i post this thread. I even searched other forum and some bashed this receiver. The reason why i asked in this forum is to get first hand experience from "people" i'm in the same forum with.Well, thank you for the effort anyway.

I used to own this receiver. It's pretty good, has a good, musical sound, but the x200 series was known for having an issue with digital audio dropouts, which many manufacturers had a problem with at the time. This is a problem for certain combinations of equipment with this receiver, because I had three different DVD players and two CD players connected to it at various times, and not all of them had the issue.

I never got a really 100% for certain reason as to why it happened. Basically, when flipping through DVD menus or the very first track of a CD, the first 1/4 second or so would be chopped off, presumably because the receiver had to "detect" the signal and figure out what it was. During playback is not an issue. Other than that, it was a great receiver. I really liked it, which is why I bought another Marantz to replace it when I upgraded.

If you have any specific questions about it, shoot me a PM.
