I just read Sound & Vision's review of this receiver as well as Home Theater's review and I really like this receiver. It may lack networking and the more advanced version of audessy but I love the amplifier section in this unit. I also like the understated looks moving all of the clutter buttons beneath a trap door like they did with the Yamaha RX-V1X00 and RX-V3X00 series. If my Yamaha died, I would spring for this receiver.

I wouldn't. The Marantz xxx4 series AVRs have some serious reliability issues. Take a look at the poll results at the top of that thread.
