Yes, do try what Superfly suggested.
And if no avail, try unplugging the unit from the wall AC outlet (after you turn it Off, Standby mode), and plug it back about 30 seconds later.
If still no avail, check the menu setting for the Phones.
Last one, check in your manual, near the very end, for Trouble Shootings, and for a Reset (microprocessors).
And if you're still unlucky, call Accessories 4 Less for an immediate exchange.
They will get on it instantly.

They are one of the very best places to deal with, I assure you.
