Marantz / Elite dilema~!

So, I'm considering a new receiver... the Pioneer Elite vsx-72txv or the Marantz SR8500. No real need for the HDMI switching because it's runnin direct. Any comments on the sound / use / overall on these two fine receivers??

I've done some listening with these two receivers....the Marantz had a warmer sound while the Elite had a flatter, more neutral sound.
As for ease of use, I didn't think to test that.
Overall, I prefer the Marantz for sound performance. Plus, it has a nice clean look.
