Marantz Auro 3d upmixing

Hello
I'm running a Marantz 7702, with 3 Rotel amps as a 11.1 set up, or 1 guess 10.1 for Auro 3d. Amps are assigned properly for ceiling surround, test tones verify but if i upmix non Atmos movies I'm not getting VOG channel output. Is there something I'm missing?
I'm in no way new to home theater and component systems, set ups and configuration but I'm stumped....unless the Marantz simply doesn't route upmix to the ceiling voice of God channel?
Thanks!

The Auro 3D had to be a paid for upgrade to the Marantz 7702. Marantz stopped supporting Auro 3 a year or so ago.
Auro 3D was a lousy system any way and deserved to die. It was way overrated by people who had some sort of agenda. I evaluated and dismissed it. It is awful and was way over hyped.

They still support it on their current statement products so I think you're mistaken.
As for your opinions on the option that's cool, but it's not lousy or hype, it's whatever people want to experience.
I can switch from 7.4.2 Atmos to 10 channel 3D in about 5 seconds via remote and try multiple ways of hearing material.

Btw problem solved, to access 3d on Apple 4k which was just what I was using atm I just had to turn off Atmos, then it sent Dolby Digital allowing the Marantz to upmix.

With Atmos OFF, it should have sent a multichannel PCM 7.1 signal to the Marantz when playing Dolby Atmos tracks. Was the “Change Format” setting also enabled and set to Dolby Digital 5.1?

Do not change format to Dolby Digital. Leave "Change Format" OFF and just turn Dolby Atmos OFF and ALL signals will be output as LPCM. This will avoid Dolby Offset volume reduction and any up mixing issues with Dolby signals and the lossy Atmos/DD+ tracks will not be replaced with even lossier DD 5.1 tracks. The Atmos/DD+ tracks will still contain Surround Back channel information with Atmos turned OFF and only metadata will be lost as the Marantz receives multichannel PCM signals. All up mixers will be available for use with multichannel PCM signals input to the Marantz without any restrictions put on them.

I'll try that, thank you!
