I don't think so... I really don't know since I haven't used a receiver that has either.

Each company names it differently like “Dolby Volume”.

Yep...I just wanted to make sure that the OP knew that Yamaha (and others as you pointed out) have a similar technology. (They just all go about it a little different)

So Anthem calls Dolby Volume a loudness contour like DEQ? Dolby Volume in most avrs I know of is a way to equalize volume in a source with some dynamic compression....https://www.dolby.com/us/en/technologies/dolby-volume.html

These are manufacturer reconditioned units!
One of the reason I am quick to recommend them is because they get refurbished by Marantz and Yamaha (instead of some third party reseller trying to maximize their profit from buying returned units like you might see on reconditioned computers/cell phones being sold on ebay).
This guarantees a well thought-out/engineered inspection and repair procedure at a competent facility.

The warranty is provided by Marantz or Yamaha after the unit meets their requirements for resale.

A4L does sell extended warranties at a reasonable price, for those that want the extra security.

I'd take exception to whoever D+M hires since I had two bad 4520 refurbs in two tries. Don't know if current ownership's contracts for fulfillment of refurb inspection or repairs are the same as then, tho (that was before Sound United bought D+M). Not a knock on A4L, they held up their end of the bargain.

I got a 4520 from them as well. What kind of problem did it have, so I'll be on the look-out?
On the other hand, it is entirely possible for a modern avr to have a fault and never know.
There are so many features that very few people use every one! In my case, the phono sections of every avr I've bought from A4L could be totally hosed and I would never know it!
I've also never used more than 5 channels!

First one I couldn't get thru initial setup without it shutting down, wouldn't stay on long enough for a system reset even. Second one worked fine for just over 30 days and then went crazy with volume swings and almost immediately thereafter wouldn't respond to microprocessor reset or even being turned on. I bought a new unit from A4L for $100 more at the time and they took back the last 4520 refurb even tho it had been just over 30 days....

ps One thought is shipping is much further to me than to you from A4L....much more chance for damage from handling....

Usually, I would expect a bigger than 10% discount for refurb vs new, but I guess if the 4520 was being discontinued, the pricing can get close! Certainly when the new Denon 4300's were going for $800, I think there was only $50 savings buying refurb from A4L!

I was just trying to save the $100! In hindsight it wasn't worth the time....so there is that potential risk with a refurb. Seems generally it doesn't happen often let alone two in a row. I did wait until there weren't all that many left, too (think I got one of the very last new units they had). Just gotta watch the sales....sometimes you can do really well at BB or even seems our own Digital Dawn has some good pricing on occasion.
