<P><FONT face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size=2>Well, everyone likes being patted on the back - even if you have to do it yourself sometimes. Macrovision issued a
press release the other day praising itself for "protecting" over 400 million music CDs since 2002 (I believe that is a total number, not the number of titles). Of course we now know that their copy protection methods weren't exactly </FONT><A href="http://forum.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=81609" target=_blank><FONT face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size=2>rock solid</FONT></A><FONT face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size=2>, but they are at last trying to keep consumer needs in mind while working to protect digital rights. It's a tough thing to do and is most likely the reason that not many CDs overall carry the Macrovision protection.</FONT></P>
