I've currently have gone thru 3 amps in this sub project - first was a DIY classB amp that only lasted 2 movies, then I tried a Behringer A500 that lasted many months till I was given the opportunity to try out a Parasound that was bridged to give 600watts/rms.
Yes, I do agree that more power for this sub is always good!
I'm soo happy about the performance of this sub that I even bought a preowned Velodyne SMS1 to further my experience
