I bought a Luxman R-115 in 1990 and have never had a problem with it. It's been a great receiver. Now it won't turn on--no power at all. I think it's just the power switch but I'm not sure. If it is the switch, can I replace it myself?

Check the fuses first.

That unit is new enough, that the power switch just trips a starting circuit. If that is the case it is very unlikely to be the power switch. You will get a hint by the feel of the power switch, if it just presses with no feel of anything mechanical moving, then there is a switch on circuit, and the power button just activates a flip fop circuit, that directs power up and power down of the unit. If the switch is mechanical you can test it with a meter.

Can you get a circuit or service manual for the unit?
