My DZ111 CD player needs help. When there is no CD inside, to open the drawer I have to push the OPEN/CLOSE button, then tap on the drawer several times. When a CD is inside, it usually opens when I push the button. Otherwise it is a great player. There is no way that I can see that the weight of a CD would have anything to do with activating the release mechanism. I took the cover off and couldn't find any mechanical latch that might be the problem, though it could be hidden somewhere underneath. There is a caution label inside that warns not to have power on with cover off because the laser is dangerous, so I haven't tried to operate it with cover off to see what is going on.
