Low Bluetooth Headphone Volume

Good morning and Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions. I helped my Father In Law with a nice low budget audio system. The receiver is a Denon AVR-S650H and the TV is a Samsung UN75NU710D. He uses Bluetooth headphones while we watch movies due to his hearing while the rest of us enjoy the surround sound. The headphones are paired to the Denon. The TV does not have Bluetooth capability.

My problem is that we can’t get much volume from the headphones. I’ve tried 2 different pair with the same results. We can pair the exact same headphones to the iPad and can’t get past 3/4 volume before they’re too loud. Am I missing a setting on the Denon or is this just the way it’s designed? We’re not opposed to buying a different receiver if it will help our situation. Thanks again everyone.

You did not mention the headphones. I suspect you need different headphones. The Bluetooth volume is not adjustable on receivers generally, but your receiver in particular. It says in the manual that you need Bluetooth headphones on which the volume can be adjusted. Your other option is to use a headphone amp with Bluetooth to connect to the headphones that has a volume adjustment.

You don't want to go cheap with this. You need a decent quality one. This one should work well.
