Just finished watching the season 1 dvd set and all I gotta say is that show is so addicting. Surely one of the best new orignal series that has came out in along while.

Beats Reality TV anyday. ;)

I agree. It was my favorite show of last year. Hopefully it will continue to be as good this season. So far, it appears to be on track.

i watch each and every episode but what i dont like about it, is that just like "alias" JJ abrams or whoever writer they have have no intention of revealing most of the secrets of the show

they just dangle an ooh wow mystery and leave it at that, since the attention span of most people is pretty short, all they have to do is stuff us with more ooh wow mysteries, and then they dont have to solve the previous mysteries anymore.

They seem to drag it on a bit, but its still good to watch, I found episodes 1&2 of season 2 a bit disappointing (too much repetition). I think you really have to watch each episode atleast twice to grasp all the small details though.

Another thing I don't like is something that is presented in say episode 5 gets extended something like 10 episodes later, where you pretty much forget about exactly what happened before.

Wow, you stated my feelings about the show quite well! I was hooked for quite a while...until more mysteries were continually added and less solutions were derived. Cheap hook.

I was always wondering, what happened to the monster?

also I kind of get bored when the show goes back in time to explain peoples lives... I wouldn't mind it but I dont think they do it well. It makes the action get boring quick. This shows moves forward slower than a soap opera.

When Lost first debuted, I was a huge fan, but I lost interest (hehe, no pun intended) about half way through the first season.

Right now I'm watching Surface, Invasion, and Threshold and I feel the same way. They are interesting now, but I think as they drag on I'll lose interest.

These types of shows would make great mini-series, but I don't think they can sustain themselves as long term story lines.

Surface is my new favorite this season. They're even re-playing the whole series every week on the SciFi channel. I just caught all four episodes this past Monday. They are really trying to get an audience hooked on this one.

I don't find viewing season 2 in HD very pleasurable compared to seeing the first season on DVD. All your comments are valid, but watching without commercial interruption, in 40 minute segments, does alot to keep up the momentum.

S2 is introducing new plots, new characters, new mysteries and bogging down story progression to about 15 minutes realtime per episode. They are going to have to speed it up or lose me soon.

TiVo it and with the 30 second skip button it's only 40 minutes. I start watching at 9:20 and finish a couple of minutes after 10. :D This season has not been as good as the first but there's still hope.

I've watched a couple of episodes of Surfaced and enjoyed it but need to get caught up on what's happening the past few weeks. I need to add it to my season pass on TiVo.

Ya, yesterday's episode was really slow and very weak in my opinion. I think they are trying to drag out this show as long as possible when maybe it was only meant to last a season.

It's still way better than all that so called "reality tv" though.
