Lost my satellite video in cable change

Am hoping someone here has an idea on how to get my hopefully simple
problem resolved.

Until now my Dish Network 811 And Toshiba DVD player have been routed
directly to my Mitsubishi WS-55807. The 811 into the DTV port which
accepts 480i/p and 1080i, and the Toshiba into another port that is
only 480i/p. I also had another S-Video connection from the Yamaha
RX-V1500 receiver to the TV to route OSD, etc...no other video was
being routed through the receiver.

Today I picked up a 3rd cable needed to route the Sat and DVD to the receiver and then route the receiver to the TV on the DTV 1080i port. After doing this the DVD functioned like always so 480p was working fine. When I would change the receiver input to the satellite I got audio which wasn't affected by the change but the video would flash large characters on the
screen and then go to a basically gray screen. It is as if for some reason the correct video information is not being passed to the DTV port to display 1080 properly. The input on the TV is set up for DTV like it was before when the Sat ran directly to it. I can't imagine the output from the Sat changed either...so the only change was routing the component video through the receiver. Is the RX-V1500 unable to route 1080i? Is there something else here I am not getting?

Thanks for keeping me from pulling out all of my hair..

You probably already did this but just in case...

I'm pretty sure you have to assign the component inputs to specific inputs. You have to do this on my Denon 3805. Double check that it's set properly and also double check that the output from your sat did not accidently get set to 720P, which your Mitsubishi will not accept.

Sheesh...glad you said that...duh...on my previous receiver it sensed the source...didn't even check to see that I had to assign it.

Thanks!
