haha....Would keep a pair and sell the rest I suppose. I actually have 2 8" subs in that setup already. 2 MTX Lolitas slipped in behid furniture.


It could be the landlord's of his old workspace clearing it out after him being locked up.

True. My thoughts always just turn to "how could I profit from this".
If it seems viable to pick up the amps to finish all the units and turn them around, I will probably pick them up.

But they are only $200 units to start with, so could MAYBE sell them for $150 each at best. Not sure if it will be worth the time yet.

Yeah, it would probably be hard to outfit them and then turn around and make a worthwhile profit.

If I were anywhere in the vicinity I don't think I could resist. The price is about $12 per sub. The wood and driver alone are worth quite a bit more than that.

I'd give out subs for Christmas.

If you do get them, please mention it. Depending on shipping, I might be interested in a couple as-is.

Well, if you do decide to do it - count me in for one of them (or two if there are some nice finishes). I'd definitely buy the lot if it weren't halfway across the country. Heck - I'd pay $200 for two of them without the amps if the cabinets were in flawless condition... just to play with them.

18 for $200 would actually be less desirable than 2 for $200 in my case - I don't have the garage space to dedicate to that much wood.

Hmmm ... can't remember how much the Parts Express amps cost that people were using with these subs. Anyone know a PE model number?

Well said, although no one has ever tried to commit fraud through CL so it would have to be legit wouldn't it??

Although perhaps they found a buyer almost immediately and are simply ignoring all further inquiries. Considering the following that AV451 had when still going, and considering the number of people burned in one way or another - might be 'fruit of the poisonous tree' so to speak. Maybe they're cursed cabinets.

These threads are all so surreal to me. I sort of drifted away from this site and other audio ones for a spell right around when AV451 started to become the target of suspicion I think. Even still, at the time they were hot **** and everyone was always excited about their next big thing.
