Looking to upgrade my turntable

I got my Jimi Hendrix "Are You Experienced" record from Amazon and now this is audiophile grade. Made by Quality Record Pressings! Came in a Rice Paper sleeve and the record was perfect, no blemishes of any kind on record and no pops or crackle noise. This was the cheapest record I bought so far at $17.

Honestly, your best bet for a good turntable at a good price is to buy a good vintage one. However the finest of the vintage turntables fetch a small fortune.

New turntables are not really a very good deal, they are pretty much junk or way overpriced.

I own a ProJect Xpression III with an Ortofon 2M Red which cost me $550 Cdn . I also own an Oracle Delphi MarkIV with an SME 309 tonearm and Ortofon Black. I bought this unit used for 6K. The lowly ProJect is 80% as good as the Oracle Delphi at less than 80% of the cost of the Oracle. I do not share your generalization shot from the hip.
