Ya no doubt..... I was giving answers to questions that were asked... As for all the info that you mentioned above would of been taken care of and therefore I wouldn't be posting in the hence "newbie section" now what I mentioned in the other posts is all that I have and the area that iam in is the standard living room size and I haven't taken measurements, but if needed I can.
the more info you give, the better replies you're going to get. generally speaking, without a budget it's pretty much impossible to offer suggestions. you can spend hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands or even *gulp* hundreds of thousands. there are folks in all of those budget ranges here.
it can be intimidating and sometimes the replies here are a little gruff, but I assure you everyone's heart is in the right place. we all want you to get the best bang for your buck.
from what little I see, you're probably going to want to timbre match your center channel and replace your subwoofer, but it's hard to tell without knowing what you have. sometimes package deals aren't bad. as far as atmos or dtsx goes, you'd use the same type speakers, but you have different options for placement and you need a receiver. again, suggestions can range from hundreds to tens of thousands of dollars.
room size and dimensions help in deciding what type and how big a system you might require, depending on exactly what you want. are you casual listening, critically listening or rocking the neighborhood? package deals are convenient, but not always the best route.
