Looking to capitalize on Xmas deals

So my current sub, a Klipsch SW-112, works alright, but I’d really like to upgrade. Helping my want is my Brother in law has offered to buy my sub. I saw some of the deals that have been posted, namely the Hsu Research deals and the Monoprice free shipping on the monolith subs. I’d like to spend around 8-900 total on one or two subs. I’ve been specifically looking at the monolith 12” and the VTF-15h, but I’m open to anything.

I have a decent size room, not sure no the cubic feet, but it’s right below my 4yos bedroom, so I seldom get to crank it. As such, I’m looking for a musical sub that trades output for extension. I see the VTF has ridiculous power below 20hz. But it’s also pushing my budget. What do you guys think?

Usable low frequency extension (under 20hz) comes with high volumes. You can't really have one without the other. The VTF-15 is over $1K with shipping. The VTF3.5 is just under $900 with shipping. If you can go over the $1K mark the VTF15 would be a great choice.

Monoprice always has free shipping on their subs.

The RSL Speedwoofers go for $400 each so you could get 2.
By all accounts they are good music subs, but lack the low end to be prized HT subs.
