You will need at least two subs for that room or major room treatments. A perfectly square room is the WORST possible situation because you have the most cancellation modes.

Please please help me with trying to decide on a sub for sub 1K price range for this family room, 20x20x20 and opens into kitchen and foyer. 50% music 50% movies.

VTF-15H, POLK micropro 4000 ? or anything else?

Going crazy reading up all the various suggestions

Honestly i have been looking and changing so many times that now i can tell you that going with VTF-15H now for 879$ and get another one later would be awesome for your room...dont make the same mistake i made...buy bigger now and then you will see...but even then im sure only one 15H would fill your room...but the more subs the better...
