Looking for some advice on Kenwood receiver

Let me start by saying I am a total amateur when it comes to home A/C. That being said, I have 2 questions I hope someone with some experience can help with.

1. I currently am running a Kenwood VR-309 (I know, its old). I am looking to upgrade but have some constraints. Other than money, I only want to upgrade the receiver, not the CD changer, DVD, etc. I am looking for a Kenwood receiver that will allow me to hook up 2 sets of component video and S-video, but only run 1 set of component video to the TV. I am tired of switching the input on my TV and on the reciever. Also, and don't laugh, it needs to be the graphite color that my 309 is. I think earlier models are black and later models are silver. Any input would be great.

2. I already have all my surround speakers and I have speaker wires running along the baseboard for the rear speakers. I know they make speakers that run off a wireless antenna, but is there a product I can buy that is a wireless antenna that I can connect to the speakers I already have?

I believe that Kenwood has discontinued it's home line. If you tell us your budget, there may be other options that could be suggested.

I am not to familiar with many wireless speakers, or how they function, so can't really offer any insight.

I am looking for an older model Kenwood that would allow me to just have 1 component video feed to the TV but allow component / s-video / composite into the receiver. Does anyone know fi the VR-8070 would do this?

It will do what you are asking. Nothing against Kenwood, but IMO they are a few steps behind Sony as far as AVR's go. Any reason you're sticking to a dinosaur brand? That unit began production in May, 2004.

Here's a review of that Kenwood:

Thanks for the info. The reson I am still looking for the dinosaur brand is so I don't have to swap out the rest of my system. The reason I am looking to upgrade is to keep my system with really 1 remote (that's why I need the receiver to handle all inputs with 1 output to TV). If I switch brands, not only will my components not match, but I'll have to get more remotes. I have no problem doing this "right" in a couple of years. In the meantime, I would like to just upgrade a tad for hopefully approx $300 for a used receiver. I just needed to make certain what I am shopping for will accomplish my needs.
